For the safety and well-being of both our horses and riders, participants must weigh under 250 lbs to participate in horseback riding programs.
The cost for Before & After Camp Care is $15.00 per hour. Families can customize their billing by choosing only the specific AM or PM hours they need.
Yes. Due to the Day Camp overnight on the last Thursday of each session, After Care on that Thursday and both Before/After Care on that final Friday are exclusively reserved for our Junior Day Camp participants.
Registration is conducted exclusively over the phone by contacting our office at (216) 831-5045. Spaces are extremely limited, so we recommend calling early to secure your spot or be placed on a waitlist.
Before Camp Care runs from 8:00 am – 9:00 am (drop-off begins at 8:00 am), and After Camp Care runs from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm (final pick-up at 6:00 pm).

Absolutely. Optional teambuilding experiences can be added to your stay.
Yes! You have the option to rent our facilities with or without scheduled camp programming.
For each lesson, students must wear jeans or breeches. Closed toed shoes with a flat sole and 3/4″ heel. For single lessons, a helmet will be provided. All other lessons, students will need to purchase their own helmet. Riding helmets need to be ASI approved. Students will not be able to ride without a helmet.

Unfortunately, daily drop-ins are not allowed. We encourage families to customize their schedule based on our flexible options.
At our overnight summer camp, safety is our top priority. We have trained staff members who oversee all activities, maintain first aid kits on-site, and follow strict safety protocols. Additionally, our camp facilities are regularly inspected to meet safety standards, providing parents with peace of mind.
Junior Day Camp runs Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Horseback Riding is now available for Junior Day Campers! Please note that the Climbing Wall Adventure is not offered for this age group.
Absolutely! Junior Day Camp is tailored for children ages 5 and 6 who will be entering kindergarten in the fall.

Our staff receive training in diversity awareness, and we offer programming that promotes understanding, empathy, and friendship among campers from various backgrounds.
Camp fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, but we understand that unexpected situations can arise. In the event of a medical cancellation, a portion of the deposit is retained as a registration service fee. Please note that there are fees for changes made after registration, and we advise parents to review our policies carefully before registering their child.
Absolutely! Many of the children who attend our overnight camp come from urban areas in Northeast Ohio. We believe in making our camp experience accessible to all, and some eligible campers even receive camperships to support their attendance.
Our overnight summer camp welcomes boys and girls aged 7-14. We offer a diverse range of activities tailored to different age groups, ensuring each camper has a fulfilling and age-appropriate experience.
Safety is our priority. We provide semi-private lessons with a student-to-instructor ratio of 2:1, ensuring personalized attention. Helmets are also provided to prioritize safety. Additionally, our experienced instructors guide riders through safety tips, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience.
Our horseback riding program is available in the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons, providing ample opportunities throughout the year for riders to join and enjoy this equestrian adventure.

Our School Camp and Outdoor Education programs are tailored to fit students of all ages, from elementary school field trips to high school leadership retreats.
The fun doesn’t stop for rain! We have plenty of indoor facilities on our 172-acre campus. In the event of severe weather (like lightning or high winds), all campers are moved to designated indoor storm shelters immediately.
Yes! We accommodate all reported allergies and dietary restrictions in Taylor Dining Hall. Please ensure these are clearly noted on your child’s medical forms in CampBrain at least 30 days in advance so our kitchen staff can prepare accordingly.
All staff are required to complete an intense week of pre-camp training. This comprehensive program covers child development, group dynamics, safety protocols, and emergency procedures to ensure the highest level of care for our campers.
We maintain a strict 8:1 camper-to-staff ratio. This ensures every child receives the individual attention, supervision, and mentorship they deserve.
Homesickness is completely normal! Our counselors are specially trained to help campers navigate these feelings by keeping them engaged in activities and building a strong sense of cabin community. If a camper is severely homesick, our camp leadership will contact you to discuss the best approach.
We encourage campers to unplug and immerse themselves in nature, so cell phones are not permitted. However, parents can send “Bunk Notes” (printed emails) or traditional care packages and letters to the camp office.
Campers sleep in our rustic, traditional camp cabins. Campers are grouped by age and gender, with trained counselors staying in the cabins to provide 24/7 supervision and support.
During the second week of each Day Camp session, campers have the option to stay for our Thursday Night Tradition! This includes an overnight stay complete with campfires, s’mores, and night hikes. It’s a great introduction to overnight camping.
Please send your camper with a backpack containing: a refillable water bottle, a swimsuit, a towel, closed-toe shoes (required for all activities), and sunscreen. Please label every item with your child’s first and last name!
We do our best to honor one mutual friend request per camper! Both families must list each other on their registration forms. To be grouped together, campers must be in the same age group or grade level.
The camp day kicks off at 9:00 AM and wraps up with dismissal at 4:00 PM.
All medical forms and immunization records must be uploaded to your CampBrain account 30 days prior to your child’s first day of camp.
Yes! As part of our historical mission, Hiram House offers Camperships (financial aid) to families who qualify. Applications can be submitted directly through your CampBrain account during the registration process.
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required per camper, per session. Cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the session start date will receive a full refund (minus the deposit). Within 30 days of the start date, refunds are only issued for documented medical reasons.
All registrations are handled securely through our CampBrain portal. You can create an account, select your camper’s sessions, fill out medical forms, and manage payments all in one place.
