Welcome to Hiram House Camp! Our daily summer camp schedule is packed with fun and engaging activities to ensure every camper has an unforgettable experience. Below is a detailed breakdown of a typical camp day and other essential information.
Daily Schedule
Monday – Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Dismissal on the last Friday of each session is at 9:00 AM after the day camp overnight. (PLEASE NOTE THE NEW TIME FRAME)
Sample Camp Day
Each day includes swimming along with a variety of activities:
- 9:00 a.m. – Arrival
- 9:15 a.m. – Horseback Riding
- 10:15 a.m. – Free time – Sports & Games
- 11:15 a.m. – Canoeing
- 12:15 p.m. – Lunch
- 1:15 p.m. – Swimming
- 2:15 p.m. – Free time – Creek Hike
- 3:15 p.m. – Pack-up, Assembly
- 4:00 p.m. – Departure
Horseback Riding Lessons at Hiram House Camp
At Hiram House Camp, we offer exceptional horseback riding lessons for beginners, youth, and kids aged 8 and up. Available in the Spring, Summer, and Fall, we feature semi-private lessons with a 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio for personalized attention. Safety is our priority, providing helmets and comprehensive guidance from experienced instructors. Camp Canteen (New This Summer!)
Hiram House has redesigned the Camp Canteen for Summer 2024. Registration includes healthy snacks available daily at the Camp Canteen.

Campers will need money in their Camp Canteen Account for Premium Days. Deposit money through your CampBrain account; cash is not accepted.
Supervision
Our program staff, supervised by a qualified director, maintains an 8:1 camper-to-staff ratio. Summer staff includes college and senior high school students with experience in child development. All staff undergo intensive five-day training before camp starts. Group counselors lead each camper group, and specialists guide activities such as climbing and archery.
Medical Forms
To participate in camp activities, campers must submit a medical form completed by a certified physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant within one year of camp attendance. The form includes details on the camper’s blood pressure, weight, height, current medical conditions, ongoing treatments, required medications, allergies, dietary restrictions, and any activity limitations. Parents should ensure this form is fully completed and submitted prior to camp.
